Community Capital Management Announces Organizational Updates and Promotions

Community Capital Management, Inc. (CCM), a leading fixed income impact investing manager, is excited to announce the following organizational updates and promotions.

Elliot Gilfarb, CFA, was promoted to senior portfolio manager.  A part of the portfolio management team since 2006, Elliot began as an analyst and has continually increased his roles and responsibilities.  For the last three years, Elliot has served as the primary portfolio manager for the firm’s separately managed accounts.  His primary responsibilities will continue to be managing and monitoring client portfolios relative to investment policy and quarterly client reporting.  As a senior portfolio manager, Elliot will take on more client-facing responsibilities, reporting directly to Todd Cohen, chief executive officer and chief investment officer.

Julie Egan has taken on the additional title of director of municipal research. Julie oversees and manages all aspects of credit research as part of the portfolio management team.  Julie joined the firm in 2009 and has been instrumental in establishing credit research protocal, monitoring market trends, and creating concise commentaries and market research to support investment decisions.  Julie continues to report directly to todd.

Cem Baloglu was promoted to senior research analyst.  He joined CCM in 2013 as a research analyst reporting to Julie Egan and is primarily responsible for assisting with municipal credit analysis, research and portfolio management support.  As a senior research analyst, he will also be responsible for acting as a primary point of contact within the portfolio management team for credit investments and developing opinions on credit opportunities through on-going qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.

Jessica Botelho was promoted to the role of director of shareholder relations.  With CCM since 2013, Jessica now oversees all shareholder relations activities and fulfillment.  Jessica has over ten years of experience working in client service within the investment management industry, most recently as a senior client service associate at a $55 billion asset manager.  Since joining CCM, she has been influential in implementing and overseeing a new online shareholder reporting system and providing clients with up-to-date research and impact reports.  Jessica reports to Alyssa Greenspan, president and chief operating officer.

Jonathan Azmat joins CCM as associate, shareholder relations in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office.  Jonathan reports to Jessica and will work collaboratively to enhance CCM’s client reporting.  Jonathan was previously a portfolio analyst at Sterling Capital Management responsible for client reporting, reconciliations and building custodial relationships to improve business practices.
